Below are the color codes for wires that are used in an Arial Home electrical system.  The use of these color codes will mean that inexperienced builders are less likely to have a problem separating the AC circuits from the 12 VDC solar power circuits:

         AC wiring:   Black for hot, White for Not, Green for ground wires  

          DC wiring:   Red for DC positive (+)  and BLUE for DC negative (-)  

Technically, the DC negative should be a white wire but then inexperienced builders and amateur electricians might confuse it with AC wiring.  The color of the wire always is an indicator of the voltage and it clearly separates DC wiring from AC wiring.

Attached is the Arial Home solar charge controller diagram with Blue as the negative polarity wire color.  The only negative polarity wire that is the color black is the one that comes out of the lightning arrester (it's pre-wired from the manufacture with Black (-), Red (+) and Green (Gnd) wires).
