Plumbing System

Although an Arial Home is designed to be hooked up to public utilities for water and sewer, we have not yet built in areas where those services are available.  As a result, we have had to develop a totally self contained plumbing system which now includes a roof top mounted solar hot water system.  Current toilets empty into a six foot square by six foot deep, concrete block lined sanitary pit.  The water comes from a water tanker truck filling the home's 450 liter water tank twice a week, on average.

Due to the increasing scarcity and cost of water in Baja, Mexico, our Arial Home team is in the process of developing a waterless toilet.  A full description is provided in the PowerPoint file below.
